Shea Stokes Welcomes Three New Attorneys as "Of Counsel"
Attorneys Thomas Sayer of San Diego, David Sherwyn of Ithaca, New York, and Kimberly Gilmour of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, have joined Shea Stokes as Of Counsel. Each brings extensive experience in hospitality and employment and labor law to the firm’s nationally recognized hospitality practice. Shea Stokes has offices in San Diego, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Ithaca and serves clients in 35 states.
Mr. Sayer is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and received a J.D., magna cum laude, from California Western School of Law. He focuses his practice in San Diego’s hospitality industry, serving as general counsel to several hotel and travel marketing companies, and teaching hospitality law at San Diego State University.
Mr. Sherwyn is Associate Professor of Law at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a Research Fellow at the Center for Labor Employment Law at NYU’s School of Law. He practiced management-side labor and employment law for six years prior to joining the Hotel School faculty. He received his B.S. and J.D. from Cornell University.
Ms. Gilmour provides counsel for compliance on workforce issues, and guidance for employment handbooks, manuals, policies, procedures, contracts and training. She has extensive litigation experience involving cases alleging age, sex, race, and disability discrimination. Ms. Gilmour is a Florida Supreme Court-certified mediator for circuit and county courts. She holds a B.S. in history and political science from the College of New Rochelle, and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Law Center.
