Members of our General and Premises Liability Group represent national and multi-national clients and have served as coordinating counsel for various matters. Shea Stokes represents manufacturing firms, supermarkets, department stores, elevator and escalator companies, apartment owners, hotels, and other commercial firms in regard to claims based on unsafe conditions on their premises. Since its inception, the firm has represented businesses and insurance companies in personal injury defense matters including accidents involving machinery, materials, automobile accidents and wrongful death. This experience extends to our premises liability practice group, whose members have successfully represented state, national and multi-national clients.
We have represented retailers and private security companies whose employees have been accused of exceeding their authority in apprehending individuals for theft, vandalism, and attempted burglary. Shea Stokes has also defended numerous alleged intentional tort cases involving violence such as excessive force, battery, assault with a deadly weapon, and attempted rape.
